Set on an exceptional site, a captivating script and original music bring history to life.

Thanks to spectacular lighting effects, immerse yourself in the intimacy of a cloister, the bustle of a medieval market or the intensity of a battlefield. Special effects, image projections, immersive sound, cannon fire and pyrotechnics enhance this unique reconstruction. But above all, the Battle of Castillon is a living spectacle! Soldiers, stuntmen, cavalry and over 600 volunteers bring a great page of history to life before your very eyes. As Eleanor of Aquitaine looks on, let us take you on an unforgettable journey back to the time of the troubadours and the knights.

Volunteers, the beating heart of the Battle of Castillon.

The real asset of the Castillon 1453 association is its volunteers. Every evening, on stage and backstage, hundreds of them bring this great historical fresco to life.

From the off-season onwards, through workshops and rehearsals, everyone prepares under the guidance of recognised professionals. Each person shapes their role, learning to embody it with passion and precision, to give it to the audience when they perform.

At Castillon, we play "without a net", with the rigour and exacting standards required for a live show of this scale. A human and collective adventure in which history comes alive thanks to their commitment.
