Set in two hectares at the foot of Castegens castle, immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the Middle Ages with a host of events and shows.

  • Equestrian jousting and combat demonstrations.
  • Traditional dances and an introduction to medieval dances.
  • Entertainment and shows in the heart of the craft village.
  • Horse-drawn carriage rides for total immersion.
  There's also a craft village, a wooden playground, wine tastings and several food and beverage outlets: an inn, a snack bar and a refreshment bar. A unique adventure to enjoy with family and friends before the big show!

    For 30 minutes on the main stage, witness the most emblematic event of chivalry tournaments: the Equestrian Joust.
    Let yourself be captivated by spectacular equestrian jousts, where knights and mounts compete bravely.

  • Eleanor of Aquitaine and the knights’ tournament

    Come and watch a jousting tournament organised by the Lord of Faucigny!
    Ladies and gentlemen, choose your champion from among the two contenders: following trials of honour, strength and wits, the victor will win the hand of Constance de Faucigny.
    A 35-minute interactive show, presented by the Paradoxales theatre company and volunteers from the Battle of Castillon.

  • Medieval dances

    Immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere of the Middle Ages at the Arène du Fortin. Our dancers will introduce you to the traditional steps and rhythms of the time. Let yourself be carried away and join them for a convivial moment. Whether you're a novice or an experienced dancer, our volunteers will be delighted to guide you and help you relive the magic of medieval festivals.

  • Weapons handling

    Join our volunteers at the Arène du Fortin for demonstrations of medieval weaponry. Let yourself be transported back to the battlefields of yesteryear. For the more curious, get up close and personal and become a knight in your own right.

    The legend of CASTALLION

    Come and discover the legend of Castallion, told by the village elder: broken oaths, forbidden loves, revenge and magic under the eye of Drakor, the legendary dragon. A 20-minute interactive show of laughter and duels, hosted by volunteers from La Bataille.
