OUR ECOLOGICAL COMMITMENT

Aware of the impact of its activities on the environment, our association has decided to take an eco-responsible approach to the Battle of Castillon show.

Both internally and with our visitors, we are developing actions and projects to raise awareness of "eco-attitudes".

Sharing and saving are important actions for all those around us and for future generations.

In order to become more eco-responsible, we decided to obtain the "eco-event" label.

We work with the REEVE eco-event network, an association based in the Pays de la Loire region.

Its aim is to mobilise the entire national events industry in the fight against climate change.

We are therefore being supported in several stages in this certification process, first of all upstream for the analyses and training, then during the visit and audit at the show site and finally downstream for further analyses and a review of the actions carried out during the season.

We have made 33 commitments as part of our 2023 certification:

• Encouraging the public to carpool and offering them a tool to do so
• Inform the public about access to cycle paths
• Setting up bicycle parking facilities
• Inform the public about public transport access and timetables
• Systematically offer to offset the emissions of its air travellers
• Have set up a redistribution/donation system for food that is not consumed
• Part of my ingredients come from organic/reasonable agriculture
• Propose a low-carbon menu with GHG emissions of less than 2,500g of CO2
• Produce and communicate an environmental report on the event
• Sustainable development criteria in service provider specifications
• My sponsors and/or partners have an eco-responsible approach
• Appointing a sustainable development officer - Minimising the use of fossil fuel-only generators
• Implementing an electricity-saving approach
• Limit and optimise printing as much as possible
• Use eco-designed media and printing methods
• Signage media are timeless and storable
• Check whether the site is under special protection
• Ensure that the venue is left in the same condition as it was when the event ended
• Organise a cancellation plan in the event of extreme weather conditions
• Signage informs the public and raises awareness of the systems in place

At the Coteau des sens, you can explore our cultural, tangible, intangible, gastronomic and natural heritage in an eco-responsible way, at your own pace and in total immersion. Designed to be accessible to all, a digital application will guide you.

Each route takes you on a journey of discovery through local history, heritage and special features, with tailor-made text, audio and video content.
Routes to explore by electric bike (provided) or on foot.

Our ecostation combines a universal recharging service with access for electric vehicles and support for soft mobility (electric bikes).

To complement the immersive tours, if you'd like to take the time to discover the landscapes, villages and properties surrounding the Coteau des Sens and the Battle of Castillon site at your own pace, we offer a full- or half-day rental service for electrically-assisted bicycles and set off on the trails.
